The Black Dragons CrossFire new mode review
Escape Mode was added the June 23 2010!
It is composed of two maps at the moment "Temple Ruins" and "Command Ops".Escape Mode is an attack-defend style mode where Black List must move towards the teleporter and Global Risk must defend it. Points are awarded for 'escapes' (reaching the teleporter) as well as kills.
If Black List reaches the winning score, the teams switch sides. If Global Risk successfully defends against Black List they will switch sides with a point advantage.
There are destructible objects such as gates on the paths in these maps and if you 'escape' your spawn point will be moved forward to a more advantageous point. If Black List can not 'escape' in any 2 minute period, Global Risk soldier positions will be exposed on the map.
Global Risk also has that mesuring tape that tells them how close a Black List player is from the teleporter which is very usefull.
Now personally about this mode, I find it an overall fun to play compared to the mutant mode which was the last major add-on on CrossFire. It asks a little bit more brain and is a good way to practice aim (as much CQC as Long Range) because of the constant respawn just like in TD.
On the map "Temple Ruins" very early you can reach the teleporter by using double jump through the windows which is kinda lame. Instead they should have encourage team play by putting them a little higher to force players to push them self up.
There is one thing I don't really understand about this mode is how the points are being counted? Shouldn't there be a counter on top or something. Any how, I recommend you all to try it out and make yourself your own opinion.
Thanks for reading.
